Welcome to Fuzzy Buddy’s Enrollment Precheck!

We’ve been in the North Seattle neighborhood since 1998!

Our facility includes two large indoor playrooms with rubber flooring, two outdoor areas, and several smaller play spaces. Check out our Facebook or Instagram pages to see the happy faces of our doggy clients!

The following questions will check if your dog is ready for a daycare trial day, and let you know what to do if you aren't ready.

Our aim is to help you and your dog, so there'll be an option to get some general advice from us at the end, if Fuzzy Buddy's isn't the right place for you yet.

    Recent Adoptions

My puppy (< 5 months old) is recently adoptedMy dog (> 5 months) is recently adoptedMy dog is not recently adopted

My puppy has been in my home 14 days with no signs of illness.

My newly adopted dog plays well with a variety of dogs at the dog park (> 5 times)

Your puppy is settled at home. New puppies usually adapt well to the playroom 🙂

My dog plays with groups of unfamiliar dogs at least once a week with no concerns.

If your dog is a new puppy or you've just adopted your dog it is important to get them settled. Check your puppy stays healthy and apply after 14 days

Newly adopted dogs who play well in the dog park play well in the play room

If your new dog is having trouble at the dog park, they'll have trouble in the playroom

Rack up a few dog park visits to check they play well, or check out our Basic Manners class if you are seeing some issues

My big dog plays well with smaller dogs (no scaring / pouncing)

My medium-size dog plays well with dogs of other sizes

We don't separate play-rooms by dog size, so if your dog isn't happy playing with bigger dogs they won't like our playroom 🙁

Your dog can play kindly with dogs of all sizes - woof! 🙂

We don't separate play-rooms by dog size, so if your dog isn't happy playing with other sized dogs they won't like our playroom 🙁

We don't separate our play rooms, so sadly if your big dog isn't kind to the little dogs it won't work out 🙁

    Play History

My dog plays with groups of unfamiliar dogs at least once a week with no concerns. My dog interacts safely with dogs of all sizes and breeds and does not scare or pounce on small dogs.My dog does not snap at or bite dogs or people who come near “their” toy.My dog is not aggressively protective of food or water. My dog has never bitten and broken the skin on a human or another dog.

If your dog has some issues socializing - then the playroom won't be fun. Check out this basic manners course which Fuzzy Buddy's offers.

This will help assess if there is a good path to group play in daycare for your dog

    Neutered/Spayed

    My dog is:

    FemaleMale

My dog is already newtered. My dog is under 18 months of age.

My dog is already spayed. My dog is not in heat and it is at least four weeks AFTER last heat cycle.

If your dog hasn't been fixed, or meet the other criteria they can't play in the playroom. Sexually active dogs cause chaos!

If you haven't already, talk with your vet to organize spaying or newtering your dog.

Your dog is ready to play without schenanigans 🙂

    Health

My dog is at least 14 weeks of age and has had at least two rounds of vaccinations. My dog is current on all vaccinations deemed necessary by my vet.My dog is in good health and free from communicable diseases.

My dog has had a clear fecal exam within the last 45 days (vet).

    Weight

My dog is obese (an 8 or 9 on the Purina Body Condition System).

I have written vet approval to start daycare.

Your dog has a generally clean bill of health from your vet!

If you're unsure of your vaccinations, or other health checks, set up a vet visit.

We focus on keeping dogs healthy in daycare. This protects your dog from catching anything, or anything messy or dangerous occurring if your dog is unwell or unhealthy.

Call us on (206) 782-4321 or via email at reservations at fuzzybuddys.com if any of these checks are unclear to you. In all cases your vet should no what they mean and be able to advise you if your dog is good to go.

It can be unsafe to have your dog playing with others if they are obese. We need your vet to clear it first

Your dog's weight won't stop them having playroom fun

If you saw all green in the previous steps you're ready to go for a trial day. If you aren't sure use the previous and next buttons to check. If you are stuck or confused call us on (206) 782-4321

Otherwise we can email you with all the information on next steps that we collected
