Doorbell Manners
There is a well-known trainer
named Gary Wilkes who said that "the best dog
trainer in the world is Mr. Doorbell!" Many
people live with dogs who explode in chaos whenever
visitors arrive, creating stress for all.
Learn some ways to reprogram your Doorbell Dog into
a dog who can calmly greet visitors. We will
be using a real doorbell in class! Take this
class with Polite Greetings to get the full scoop on
making guests arrivals stress-free.

Polite Greetings
For dogs, jumping up to say "hi"
makes perfect sense, and would even be considered an
appropriate greeting if directed to another dog.
We need to teach dogs the way that humans like to be
greeted, by a calm dog with four feet on the floor.
We will talk about why dogs jump up, and effective
strategies to train polite greetings.

Self Control
The ability to calm oneself down
is not necessarily a skill that all dogs (or
humans!) are born with. In class, we will
increase your dog's ability to deal with frustration
and calm themselves back down using exercises that
are easy to practice anywhere. This class will
also go over "leave it" and "drop it".
