Meet The Staff
Dana M.
Dana
is the owner of Fuzzy Buddy's, fulfilling a
childhood dream she
didn't even know she had!
Her dog Mango inspired her to throw aside
her life
as an artist and devote her life to the dogs back in
January
2000. She established City Critters, a
dog walking and training
service. She took
over ownership of Fuzzy Buddy's in September
2005.
She is obsessively interested in dog training and how dogs
learn. She loves reading about dogs, going to
seminars to learn more
about dogs, playing with dogs
and training dogs. She is a
Certified Pet
Dog Trainer, and teaches
dog training classes at Fuzzy Buddy's. She
shares her life with Tigger the Border Collie/Rottie
mix, Dillon
and
Finley the human puppies, and a patient husband
named Steve.
Viva
Viva comes to us from the Maryland/Virginia
area. She is the proud and grateful parent to
Puppet, her 12-year-old pup, and two children, Zeke
and Eli. She has worked off and on at Fuzzy
Buddy's since 2005. She finds her time at
Fuzzy Buddy's to be rewarding and especially enjoys
learning more about dog body language. Viva
has spent some time in Fuzzy Buddy's dog training
apprenticeship program and is a big advocate of
positive reinforcement-based training, both with
dogs and in human relationships!
Aimee
I
was born and raised in Seattle. I've always had dogs
in my life. And I thoroughly enjoy every moment
spent in their presence. That's why I feel very
fortunate to be able to work at Fuzzy Buddy's. I've
been in LOVE with my job since I started in November
of 2007. I enjoy all things dog-related and aspire
to become a Certified Pet Dog Trainer. I share my
life with my three dogs Kane and Lono, both American
Pit Bulls, Maui a Cava-Chin, my two daughters and my
husband.
Dana W.
Dana W. was born and raised in a small town in rural
Alaska. Her
childhood was full of canine
playmates. She called Blackie, an
enormous
black lab mix, her best friend throughout all of her
school
years. Back in her hometown, Dana W.
worked at a little pet store
and volunteered at her
local animal shelter. She always hoped that
someday she could find a career working with
animals, especially
dogs. In 2007, she moved
to Seattle with her boyfriend (now husband), Troy, and their
furbaby, a pug named Popcorn. Luckily, after
some searching, she
eventually found her dream
doggie job at Fuzzy Buddy's Dog Daycare.
Dana
W. started at Fuzzy Buddy's in March 2008 and has
loved every
fun, crazy, fur-filled day of play
since. She is currently studying and
working
to become a Certified Pet Dog Trainer.
Dace
Dace would like to
apologize for being from California. He plans
to make up for it by using his calm energy and
loving care to help the dogs of Seattle play a
little safer; all the while, bridging the gap
between tall guys in hats and fearful dogs.
Brooke
My passion in life is
anything and everything critter-like. Growing
up we have always had pets and a foster or two.
My first experiences in the animal field were
volunteering at the Seattle Humane Society when I
was 13. They even offered me my first job as a
day camp assistant-- a great experience.
Though these days I find my life a lot more cramped,
I still find room to continue helping out at the
Humane Society. After being a bit of a
drifter, my pets and I have finally settled. I do
not see myself doing anything other than working
with animals-- nothing is going to change that now.
I love working at Fuzzy Buddy's and getting to see
all my furry friends!
Hannah
Growing up with her first family dog, an
Australian Cattle Dog (Red Heeler) named Sydney who
loved Frisbee and going to the Cabin, she has loved
dogs ever since. Hannah is on her way to
finish her AA Degree in Criminal Justice at
Shoreline Community College, and also Apprenticing
to become a Certified Dog Trainer at Fuzzy Buddy’s.
She has lived in Seattle all of her life and spends
as much time she can with her parents, brother,
boyfriend and 3 dogs: Buddy (Border Collie Mix),
Little (Terrier Mix), and Newest Edition; Goldie
(Lab/Pit Mix). Hannah LOVES all of her time spent
hanging out with the Fuzzy Buddy Posse, dogs and
humans both. They can make your bad day turn
around in a second by licks, love, jumps, howls and
laughs.
Clair
I've always loved animals from a young
age. I always enjoyed learning more about all kinds
of animals all the time- it feels like I spent my
childhood in zoos watching everything around me. I
was raised in Edmonds, WA and we always had a dog in
our house when I was growing up. Bix and Emily were
my favorites, two lovable Bernese Mountain Dogs. I'm
a big fan of positive reinforcement, and Fuzzy
Buddy's is helping me to learn more and more every
day!
