Meet The Staff
Dana M.
Dana
is the owner of Fuzzy Buddy's, fulfilling a
childhood dream she
didn't even know she had!
Her dog Mango inspired her to throw aside
her life
as an artist and devote her life to the dogs back in
January
2000. She established City Critters, a
dog walking and training
service. She took
over ownership of Fuzzy Buddy's in September
2005.
She is obsessively interested in dog training and how dogs
learn. She loves reading about dogs, going to
seminars to learn more
about dogs, playing with dogs
and training dogs. She is a
Certified Pet
Dog Trainer, and teaches
dog training classes at Fuzzy Buddy's. She
shares her life with Tigger the Border Collie/Rottie
mix, Dillon
and
Finley the human puppies, and a patient husband
named Steve.
Sara
Sara has been at Fuzzy Buddy's since July 2003,
and she learns
something new every day that she
comes to work. Dogs are her life,
and it is rare to find her without at least one by
her side. She lives with
Tucker, a Border Collie mix, and often has foster
dogs too. Her
passions include pet training, pet nutrition, and
pet sitting, and she is
working toward becoming a
Certified Pet Dog Trainer. She is always on
the
lookout for new information to enrich her knowledge
of dogs and dog
behavior. Her favorite thing about
working with dogs is the opportunity to
watch them
problem solve their way to a goal, whether it is
getting the
ball thrown, finding their way to a toy
that rolled under a couch, or
discovering the
quickest way to get a treat. Above all, she enjoys
watching dogs enjoy themselves.
Aimee
Hi, I'm Aimee. I was born and
raised in Seattle. I recently moved back
to
Seattle after living in Hawaii for the last few
years. Although I miss
Hawaii, I'm happy to be
back in Seattle. I'm also very happy to be
working at Fuzzy Buddy's because I love dogs, was
raised with canine
family members and have always
had a special bond with dogs. My
first word
was my family dog's name. I am a proud parent
of a mixed
breed puppy name Kane. I've been
working at Fuzzy Buddy's since
November 2007.
Dana W.
Dana W. was born and raised in a small town in rural
Alaska. Her
childhood was full of canine
playmates. She called Blackie, an
enormous
black lab mix, her best friend throughout all of her
school
years. Back in her hometown, Dana W.
worked at a little pet store
and volunteered at her
local animal shelter. She always hoped that
someday she could find a career working with
animals, especially
dogs. In 2007, she moved
to Seattle with her boyfriend, Troy, and their
furbaby, a pug named Popcorn. Luckily, after
some searching, she
eventually found her dream
doggie job at Fuzzy Buddy's Dog Daycare.
Dana
W. started at Fuzzy Buddy's in March 2008 and has
loved every
fun, crazy, fur-filled day of play
since. She is currently studying and
working
to become a Certified Pet Dog Trainer.
Mikelle
I am currently a student at the UW slowly
chipping away at an
Economics degree which I will
probably never use, but it is interesting
and fun
stuff to learn. I have always loved being
around dogs. Currently
I live with my
boyfriend's dog Kunen, a mix who loves playing with
everyone including our cat. I want to learn as
much as I can about dog
training while I am here so
I can eventually become a certified dog
trainer, but
for right now I am just excited to finally have a
job that I love!
Emily
Emily has been a dog's best friend at Fuzzy
Buddy's since March
2008. When she is not
entertaining the dogs at Fuzzy Buddy's, Emily
is
being entertained by her two Japanese Chins, Chuchi
and Nina.
Dace
Born and raised in the San
Francisco Bay Area, Dace has strayed far
and wide
before finally being adopted by the Fuzzy Buddy's
pack,
where he gets paid to play with dogs by day. By
night, he apprentices
his way toward a long and
rewarding career as a certified dog trainer.
Dace is
very treat-motivated, and loves scratches behind the
ears and
long walks (off-leash). When he isn't at FB,
he's volunteering at the
King County Humane Society,
studying
up on dog psychology, making
music, and building
community.
